Mirella & Carlos Santos David – Den Haag & Delft/NL

Sunday 23 July > Sunday 30 July 2023.
We are very pleased to introduce for the first time in 2023 to the participants of our tango vacation the beautiful couple Carlos & Mirella, based in the Netherlands. This couple is known and appreciated for their elegance, subtlety and musical finesse, as well as for their spectacular, breathtaking demonstrations. Their joint career started in 2011. Mirella’s technical background, who graduated from Dance Academia, is completed with Carlos’ years of experience abroad.
Since 2016, Carlos and Mirella represent the Netherlands at the European and World Championships. They were European Champions Tango de Pista in 2017, and Finalists at the Mundial de Tango in 2016, ’17, ’18, ’19, ’22.
Carlos & Mirella are also known via Dutch Television. They won the second place in the show “Everybody Dance Now” on RTL4 in 2015 and they were in the final of the TV show “Time To Dance” in 2018. As teachers, they excite tango lovers all over the world with their natural, humorous and well-structured way of teaching.

Lorena Tarantino & Gianpiero Galdi – Torino/Accademia Carma

Sunday 30 July > Sunday 6 August 2023.
Following the success of 2022, we invite for the second time in 2023 the young and spectacular couple Lorena and Gianpiero, who we admire a lot. Their creativity and musicality are fresh and full of surprises, their technique is precise and despite their young age they have a sound experience and a huge maturity in their didactics. Their dance shows the true flow of a deep tango connection. Over the past years they have developed their own “Method”, based on a precise and effective didactics, providing the expressive Art of Tango in a sharp, accurate and meaningful tool of communication.
As a son of a tango dancer, Gianpiero grew up dancing, performing and teaching tango since he was a child. His view of tango and his pedagogy are strictly connected to his studies of sports, music, engineering, and bio-mechanics. Lorena is a sensual and gracious dancer, with a background in ballet and a profound study of tango since she was only 17. Coming from Salerno and Naples, they recently moved to Turin, where they teach during the week in a permanent school, when they are not busy traveling around the world teaching and performing in festivals, holidays and tango events.

linendanielLin Petersen & Daniel Lauwens – Antwerpen/La Luna

Both weeks: Sunday 23 July > Sunday 6 August 2023

Each week, there will be a small additional group of neo beginners (from 6 months to 2 years of tango experience), with an adapted schedule of 6 to 10 hours of semi-private classes given by teachers from La Luna Antwerp (EN/FR/NL/DK).

The lessons of Marisa & Oliver and the guest teachers are aimed at experienced tango dancers. A minimum 2 years of tango (lessons and practice) are required. There will be 2 groups of intermediate/advanced students. Depending on the experience of the majority of the registrants, these groups could be of different (Group A advanced and Group B intermediate), or of similar levels (advanced/advanced).
Each of the A and B groups will have a total of 10 workshops of 90 minutes (15 hours in total, equally taught by the 2 teaching couples: Marisa & Oliver and the guest teaching couple of that week. Since the classes will not be taught at the same time, it is possible for the most assiduous who would like to have twice the number of classes, to participate in several levels. It is also possible to book private classes during the week with the teachers.
Tango dancers with less than 2 years of tango experience will be assigned to Group C, a smaller group for neo beginners. The participants of Group C will have between 9 and 15 hours of semi-private classes taught by Lin & Daniel from Tango school La Luna in Antwerp. The number of hours depends on the size of the group: if there are:Tango class Baveno
> 3/4 couples: 9 hours
> 5/6 couples: 10 hours
> 7/8 couples: 12 hours
> 9/10 couples 14 hours
> more then 10 couples: 15 hours
There will be a variety of themes in the classes: tango de salón, tango fantasia, modern tango, vals and milonga. The classes will focus on technique, as well as on detailed refinements regarding posture, axis & balance, embrace, foot work, adornos, musicality, leading and following. Students will learn new movements, figures and sequences, but the main goal is to create a more harmonious, comfortable and enjoyable dance.

The tango workshops are taught in a spacious, air conditioned dancing room, with a good dancing floor. The classes mainly take place after breakfast and before dinner. Each group will have one full day without classes, and so have time to explore the region. A detailed programme of the classes will be sent to the participants about one month before the start of the holidays. The classes will be taught in English. The teachers also speak French, Dutch, German, Spanish and Italian…
Normally the lessons are reserved for the participants of the tango holiday. If, at the moment the holiday starts, there is room in certain groups, lessons can also be taken à la carte, provided that the hotel accepts pupils who are not staying in the hotel (depending on the Covid measures mainly).

Regina Palace 2Every evening, there will be a milonga for all the participants together, in the beautiful dancing hall.
Depending on the Covid-19 situation, we will try to organise one special milonga together with local tangueros, with a performance by the guest teachers.
We will have to wait and see whether some of the other milongas can be open for outsiders of the tango holidays, too. We zullen moeten afwachten of sommige van de andere milonga’s ook open kunnen zijn voor buitenstaanders van de tangovakantie.

stand BavenoShoes and clothes

A stand of Tangolera tango shoes and Rossa Spina tango clothes is present at the hotel during the holidays. Participants can place orders for shoes or clothing they would like to purchase on site until July 10. The collections are visible at and

Registrations for the classes can only be done in couples. We try to help singles to find a partner by bringing them into contact with each other. Once registered as a dance couple, however, it is no longer possible to switch partners. So please verify that the relationship between the two dancers is good enough, before registering as a dance couple. Those who want to find a partner can send an e-mail with age, height, level and languages or place an ad on our facebook group. Participants who wish to find a room mate, can contact us.
