Level 4 is for advanced dancers with 3 to 5 years of intensive classes and dancing experience in milongas. The basic material of the tango should be well known as the variations proposed in the classes are more complex, longer and faster.
The subtlety of the lead and follow are developed and deepened and the students have to become more and more familiar with the sistema cruzado.
The programme of the course changes every year and is thus always new to everyone. The students are supposed to follow Level 4 for at least 2 years before eventually evolving to Level 5.
Many dancers who don’t regularly go to milongas or have more difficulties to keep learning as the material becomes more complicated, stay several years in Level 4 and are still making progress.
Level 4A is for students coming from level 3 and for those who like a normal learning rhythm, to have the time to properly integrate the material proposed in the classes.
Level 4B is for students who have already participated in Level 4 for at least one year and want more challenge. The programme and material proposed for groups 4A and 4B is the same, but the speed of the class in 4B is more sustained and more variations of the material can be proposed to this group.
